Pope Field honors fallen Airmen during memorial ceremony

Air Force Senior Leadership from Pope Field render a salute during a memorial ceremony held here to honor Pope?s fallen Airmen. From left, Brig. Gen. Drinking and driving is a bad combination during the 101 days of Summer

Driving while drinking is possibly the leading cause of auto accidents resulting in death for Air Force members. During a recent 101 day staged accident demonstration at Pope Air Force Base, The driver had a blood alcohol count over 2.0. He was arrested in this scene while paramedics tried to save the life of his passenger. She was declared dead at the scene.
