PAM will be ready to support the initiatives of Governmentwide Accounting after May 2011.
PACER will calculate accounting entries for aftermath transactions based on Treasury Account Symbol (TAS)/Business Event Type Code (BETC) information provided by PAM.
For benefit agencies PAM will derive TAS/BETC and send to PACER.
PAM will not validate TAS/BETC information, rather it will just pass them along to GWA.
Same Day Payment Schedules will need TAS/BETC.
Third Party 440 format and DEO upload into on-line SPS.
Certified amounts at schedule level are official Agency Accounting Entries.
The Shared Accounting Module (SAM) will provide the Agency Location Codes (ALCs) with GWA Player identifier to SPS to specify who is required to report TAS/BETC. SPS will validate the TAS/BETC and amounts prior to certifying the Schedule and sending it to PAM.
