Specialty Officers
If you are a medical professional, a lawyer, or a chaplain, you may qualify for a commission as an officer based on your professional training. This ‘direct commission’ would not require you to complete either OCS or ROTC, but instead you will bring your skills in your present occupation to the Army National Guard.
