The 2011 COPS Conference, held in Washington, DC on August 1-2, 2011, focused on Advancing Public Safety in a New Economy. Attendees ranging from chiefs and sheriffs to line-level officers were treated to packed sessions filled with subject experts speaking directly to the obstacles they face in their own hometowns. This year's conference had over 1,100 attendees, including law enforcement officials, local elected officials, and civic leaders from communities throughout the country, eager share experiences, strategies and ideas.
The conference included 39 interactive workshops ranging from demonstrated solutions to public safety challenges to innovative uses of community policing that build relationships through strategic partnerships.
