2007 Farm Bill Resources and Information Meetings

As a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, I was pleased to be part of the development and passage of the 2007 Farm Bill, which was approved by the Senate in December 2007.  In an effort to address the various questions that farmers, producers and others have regarding the legislation, I hosted an iTownHall meeting focused solely on the 2007 Farm Bill.  I was joined by several USDA experts, who helped field questions from Idahoans.  To listen to an audio file of the full meeting, please click here; the full meeting runs about 92 minutes.

Farm Services Agency:  Includes details on the dates and deadlines for financial assistance programs operated through the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Natural Resources Conservation Service :  Provides information about conservation programs, EQIP (Environmental Quality Incentives Programs and the Wildlife Habitat Incentives.

Rural Development:  Focuses on rural development issues for the state of Idaho as directed in the 2007 Farm Bill.
