About the Program
Women who have served in the Armed Forces are eligible for a variety of veterans benefits. The VA actively encourages women to utilize the benefits due them.
The Fargo VA Healthcare System Women's Health Program targets programs and facilities to meet the unique needs of female veterans.
Services Offered
The Fargo VA Healthcare System offers services for women including —
- gynecology services
- breast exams and mammography
- reproductive health care
- menopause treatment
- maternity care
- preventive care
Patients will be referred to other VA facilities or to the community for any service not available at the Fargo VA Healthcare System.
Mental health services, including treatment for post traumatic stress disorder, are also available for women. Treatment for substance abuse and military sexual trauma is available as well.
