Volpe Pathways Programs

About Pathways

On December 27, 2010, President Obama signed an Executive Order establishing the Pathways Programs, to provide clear paths to Federal employment for students and recent graduates. On May, 11, 2012, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) issued the final regulations implementing the Pathways Programs. The Pathways Programs consist of three components which are the Internship Program, the Recent Graduates Program, and the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program. The new streamlined Pathways Programs replaces the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) and Student Career Experience Program (SCEP), and enhances the Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program.
