Federal grant that paid for tutoring, training, support groups is expiring

A federally funded San Diego Unified School District program that has helped children of military families adjust to new surroundings and achieve a higher level of math proficiency will expire at the end of the school year.

Partnership brings LIFE' to military connected students

MIDDLEBURG — Dipping, probing, measuring and exploring will be added to the curriculum of at least 10 Clay County schools.

Backed by a $2.9 million grant from the U.S. Department of Defense Education Activity, 'Learning In Florida's Environments,' or LIFE for short, will teach militaryconnected students hands-on skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, a body of work commonly referred to as STEM.
