Please be aware that some of the services below may apply to individuals differently, whether you are an Active Duty Servicemember, Department of Defense Civilian, Non Appropriated Funds Civilian, Invited Contractors or Military Retiree.  For more information on your eligibility of these services, please contact the applicable office.

Free Child Care for Newcomer's Brief

Parents attending the weekly Newcomer's Briefing at the Super Gym can now receive five free hours of child care at the Child Development Center or School Age Center.

In order to get the free child care, parents must register their children at Parent Central, located in Bldg. 570 (753-3413/5973) and attend the Parent Orientation at either the CDC or SAC.

After the child is registered and parents have completed the orientation, they can call the CDC (753-8601) or SAC (753-8507) and make a reservation from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for the day that they plan to attend the Newcomer's Briefing. Reservations must be made in advance since space is limited.

Newcomer's Briefings are held from 8:30 a.m. to noon, in the Super Gym, each Tuesday unless there is a Training Holiday. In that case, the briefing is held on Wednesday at the same time and location. The briefings are mandatory for all Soldiers and adult Family Members are encouraged to attend. The Newcomer's is mandatory for adult Family Members who want to get a USFK Driver's License.

Parents who attend the briefing can pick up their Free Child Care coupon from the ACS Relocation staff members at the conclusion of the session. They then take that coupon to the CDC or SAC to redeem their free child care. Children must be picked up no later than 12:30 p.m. that day.
