Army Continuing Education Services (ACES) at the Carlisle Barracks’ Army Education and Training Center serves all active duty personnel, family members and civilian Department of the Army employees in Pennsylvania, across seven commands, at 27 installations. Active duty personnel in West Virginia and Ohio are also served if assigned to the Pittsburgh Recruiting Battalion or Pittsburgh MEPS.

The 7000 active duty service members stationed in Pennsylvania require educational services to achieve their military and personal goals of certification or degree. During the past fiscal year over 13,000 people have taken advantage of ACES programs. Outreach briefings are conducted annually at the following installations:

Harrisburg and Pittsburgh Recruiting Battalions, Fort Indiantown GAP, Letterkenny Army Depot, Pittsburg and Harrisburg MEPS, 99^th ARCOM, New Cumberland Army Depot, ROTC Centers at Penn State University, University of Pittsburgh, Dickinson College, Bucknell University, Drexel University, Gannon University, Indiana University, Lehigh University, Shippensburg University, Temple University, Valley Forge Military College, Lockhaven University, and Edinboro University.
