Ambassador Graber Discusses Essential Values for Today’s Managers with MBA Students and Their Instructors

Ambassador Graber met with about a dozen MBA students and instructors of the Institute of Finance and Administration (VSFS)  on Friday, April 11. The debate with students and instructors followed after a tour of the school building with vice-rector for business and external relations Petr Budinský. The meeting was mainly focused on MBA experience, what meaning and values it brings to today’s managers. Between discussed topics were also a new project of student’s mobility, accreditation system and increase of VAT.

Ambassador Graber stressed, that good business values, business integrity, corporate social responsibility, and fair play are an essential part of business education and any business running in the U.S., in the Czech Republic, or anywhere in the world. He also added, “Transparency and the fight against corruption have been one of my priorities as U.S. Ambassador.”

VSFS belongs to the largest private institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic.  It has offered a joint MBA program with City University of Seattle, Washington since 2003.  The City University MBA at VSFS is an American graduate study program consisting of 15 courses, 4 of which specialize either in General Management or in Financial Management. All courses are taught in English.
