American Red Cross

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

The USAG Humphreys office provides a wide-range of services:

Emergency Communication Messages
Available to servicemembers, retirees, DOD civilians, U.S. contractors and dependents 24 hours a day, nights, weekends and holidays by contacting DSN 753-7172 (0505-753-7172 from cell phone) (031-690-7172 from landline). Provides verification of illness and death of immediate family members, breakdown in child care plans, birth announcements and other immediate family crisis situations. Access to AER financial assistance available for emergency travel during nights, weekends and holidays.

Disaster Assistance
Provides immediate assistance for food, clothes and other necessities following a disaster or fire in government or leased quarters.

Health and Safety Classes
CPR/First Aid, Lifeguarding, Water Safety, Babysitting, AED Training and Professional Rescuer classes are offered.

Volunteer Program
Opportunities to assist in the community by helping at the Red Cross Office, Health Clinic, Dental Clinic and instruct Health and Safety Classes.
