Newcomers Orientation and Korean Head Start Program

The United States Army Garrison Humphreys Newcomers Orientation is conducted every Tuesday (except Federal holidays) at the Super Gym, from 0830-1500, for all military and civilian personnel and their Family members assigned to USAG Humphreys and Area III.  For more information, please call the ACS Relocation Readiness Program, 753-8804/8318, from on post military telephone or from your cell phone, call 0505-753-8804 or 0505-753-8318. 

Korean Head Start Program

**Attendees need to be signed up in advance to attend the head start program.**

8th Army mandates a 3-day Korean Cultural Awareness training program for all newly-arrived Area III Soldiers stationed at United States Army Garrison Humphreys and Area III.  This program is conducted at the Pyeongtaek University and offers language training, cultural awareness, and tours. Commanders will ensure all newly assigned Soldiers are sent to this training within 30 days of arrival.  DA civilians and Family members are encouraged to attend this training on a voluntary, space available basis. 

Unit points of contact must submit names of Soldiers attending class to the 8th Army G9 point of contact Mr. Kim, Kwan Hong, (his contact e-mail can be found on the global address list), no later than one week (COB Wednesday of each week) in advance of the class they are scheduled to attend.  Pre-registered attendees are to arrive at the USAG Humphreys Community Activity Center (CAC) no later than 0800 hours in order to board the busses that will depart from the CAC at 0820 hours each day of class.
