The Relocation Readiness Program offers a comprehensive support system to help you and your family make permanent change of station moves as smoothly as possible. The mission of RRP is to minimize the stress of relocation by offering skills and resources to Soldiers and families that will simplify the moving process throughout their military career.

Sponsorship

To initiate the Fort Benning Sponsorship Program it is essential that Soldiers complete the DA Form 5434 (Sponsorship Program Counseling and Information Sheet) during their reassignment processing at their last duty station. The DA Form 5434 advises the command of any special needs and support mechanisms that the Total Army Sponsorship Program must muster to help the Soldier and his family. The completed DA Form 5434 should be sent to: Chief, Personnel Operations Branch, Military Personnel Division, ATTN: IMSE-BEN-HRM-M, Enlisted Strength Management Section, Fort Benning, GA 31905. All military personnel are required to sign-in at Installation Replacement Operations, Building 2607, Soldiers' Plaza, 706-545-4577, for in-processing.

Request a sponsor: Fill out this form, DA5434, then save it to your computer as "LASTNAME_DA5434" and email it to benn.acs.relocation@conus.army.mil.

Housing

The Villages of Benning is comprised of pre-existing, new and renovated homes and offers a large variety of floor plans for Service Members and their families stationed at Fort Benning. Community amenities include Village Centers complete with game rooms, fitness centers, business centers, event centers, resort style pools, splash parks, tot lots/playgrounds, basketball courts, and more!

Identification Cards

There are two different identification card sections servicing the Fort Benning area. The main ID card section provides services for all permanent party personnel (with the exception of Soldiers with the 3HBCT, 3rd Infantry Division), Soldiers attending Officer Candidate School, Ranger School, Airborne School, Infantry officer advanced or basic course, military retiree’s, disabled veterans and all Family members. The section operates only by appointments. It is located in Building 2638 in Soldiers’ Plaza and it is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The section is closed all federal and training holidays and may close without advance notice to support contingency operations. The ID card section for the 3BCT, 3rd Infantry Division is located in Building 9058, Apache Hall, Kelley Hill.

Eligible persons seeking ID cards or DEERS enrollment for their Family Members must present appropriate documentation. Details on specific documentation required for eligibility and issuance of an ID card may be obtained by contacting the appropriate ID card section.

Registering your vehicle

The following items are required to register your vehicle on Fort Benning:
  • Valid Military ID Card
  • Valid State Drivers License
  • Current State Registration for the vehicle
  • If it is a newly purchased vehicle, bring in the bill of sale and a 30-day temporary pass will be issued until the vehicle is registered with the state
  • Valid Proof of Insurance
Note: If the vehicle in not registered in the sponsor or spouses name, a Notarized Letter or Power of Attorney is required giving permission to register that vehicle (see example).
Vehicles can be registered at main post TMP at the corner of Merchant Street and Edwards Street in Bldg 217.
The hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Closed all federal holidays and training holidays. The Visitor Centers are open 24 hours a day for issuing temporary passes.
