11th Battalion, Western Sector, USMEPCOM

The 11th Battalion commander also serves as the commander of the St Louis Military Entrance Processing Station and is responsible for the command and control of the Kansas City, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, New Orleans, Shreveport, and St Louis Military Entrance Processing Stations.

USMEPCOM established battalions on April 15, 2011, to bring the command in line with established military standards for command span of control, to facilitate stronger mentoring for MEPS commanders and senior enlisted advisors, and to improve coordination and cooperation between USMEPCOM and the Interservice Recruiting Committees.
