Lieutenant Colonel Dana C. Allmond is the commander of 11th Battalion and the St. Louis Military Entrance Processing Station.

Lieutenant Colonel Allmond enlisted in the United States Army Reserve in March 1989 at the Oakland Military Entrance Processing Station. She later received an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., graduating in May 1994 and received her commission a second lieutenant in the Adjutant General Corps.

Lieutenant Colonel Allmond's duty assignments include assistant brigade personnel officer and brigade personnel officer, 513th Military Intelligence Brigade, Fort Gordon, Ga.; battalion personnel officer, 297th Military Intelligence Battalion, Fort Gordon; postal platoon leader and detachment executive officer, Bravo Detachment, 516th Personnel Services Battalion, Camp Humphreys, South Korea; Alpha Company commander and battalion operations officer, 30th Adjutant General Battalion (Reception), Fort Benning, Ga.; tactical officer and regimental executive officer, United States Military Academy; chief transformation and plans officer, Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, United States Army, Pacific, Fort Shafter, Hawaii; deputy postal division chief and logistics officer, 8th Human Resources Sustainment Center, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, Fort Shafter; brigade personnel officer, 500th Military Intelligence Brigade, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Director of Human Resources, Joint Special Operations Task Force – Philippines, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom – Philippines, Special Operations Command Pacific, Camp Navarro, Zamboanga, Philippines; and chief, morale, welfare, recreation, and well-being programs division under the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, United States Army, Pacific, Fort Shafter.

Lieutenant Colonel Allmond's professional military education includes the master fitness trainer course, adjutant general officer basic and advanced courses, airborne school, postal operations course, postal supervisor course, nuclear, biological and chemical course, combined arms and services staff school, contracting officers representative course, joint operation planning and execution system support personnel and action officer courses, joint flow and analysis system for transportation course, unit movement officer deployment planning course, and intermediate level education common core and advanced operations and warfighting courses. She has also earned a bachelor of science degree in individual psychology from the United States Military Academy at West Point and a master of science degree in education - counseling and leader development from Long Island University, Brookville, N.Y.

Lieutenant Colonel Allmond's military awards and decorations include three Meritorious Service Medals, Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, and various unit and service medals and ribbons. She has also earned the Parachutist Badge.
