The Embassy's Consular Section provides emergency and other assistance to U.S. citizens, including the issuance of passports. We also provide a wide variety of visa services to Bangladeshi and other foreign nationals here in Bangladesh. We provide three major types of services:

Immigrant Visas: Processes cases for people wishing to immigrate to the United States and accepts petitions from American Citizens for their immediate relatives to immigrate to the U.S.

Diversity Visas (DV): Administers the DV or visa lottery program in Bangladesh allowing Bangladeshis to immigrate to America to contribute to the ethnic diversity of American society.
