Judicial Assistance

While, we are aware that U.S. citizens traveling or living in Albania may require judicial assistance, we are prohibited by federal regulations (22 CFR 92.81) from performing legal services on behalf of U.S. citizens.

While you are traveling or residing in Albania, you are subject to its laws and policies even if you are a U.S. citizen or dual national.  The U.S. Embassy has no jurisdiction of judicial affairs in Albania, nor can we interfere with judicial matters of this country.

We have put together information that we hope will be of use to you, should you want to check a process or procedure - or wish to find an attorney.

Disclaimer:  The information in this site relating to the legal requirements of Albania is provided for general information only and may not be totally accurate in a particular case.  Questions involving interpretation of specific Albanian laws should be addressed to local counsel.
