  • USCIS Immigrant Fee

    1/10/2013: Effective February 1, 2013, all individuals issued immigrant visas overseas must pay a $165.00 USCIS Immigrant Fee before traveling to the United States. 

  • Final Rule to Support Family Unity During Waiver Process

    1/2/2013: Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano announced the posting of a final rule in the Federal Register that reduces the time U.S. citizens are separated from their immediate relatives (spouse, children and parents), who are in the process of obtaining visas to become lawful permanent residents of the United States under certain circumstances.

  • Visa Processing Fees to Change

    3/30/2012: Effective April 13, 2012, the Department of State will adjust visa processing fees. The fees for most nonimmigrant visa applications and Border Crossing Cards will increase, while all immigrant visa processing fees will decrease. 

  • Information for Visa Applicants Holding Non-Biometric Albanian Passports

    1/17/2012: The Consular Section of U.S. Embassy in Tirana informs all visa applicants, holding Albanian non-biometric passports that effective immediately, U.S. visas will not be placed in non-biometric Albanian passports.
