The advanced applications group at NWRC uses the latest technology to create and maintain web and desktop applications primarily focused on delivery and visualization of scientific data for the natural resource management community. With strong ties to the NWRC GIS team, many of our applications seamlessly integrate spatial and tabular data bringing a new dimension to the data visualization realm. This group is also responsible for geo-spatial data management at NWRC and is a leader in processing and dessiminating spatial data to the Louisiana coastal community. (Craig Conzelmann)

Some examples of the group's work are highlighted below.

	Coastal Reference Monitoring System (CRMS) is a multiple reference approach to wetland restoration that uses aspects of hydrogeomorphic functional assessments and probabilistic sampling. The CRMS website provides a mechanism to visualize data colleceted in the field as well as an analysis of CRMS wetland restoration progress.
	EverVIEW is a desktop application for viewing ecological modeling data, in both spatial and tabular form. Along with viewing modeling data, users can run ecological models and associated data tools from within EverVIEW.
	Nonindigenous Aquatic Species (NAS) is a central repository for spatially referenced biogeographic accounts of introduced aquatic species.
	Sea-Level Rise Visualization for Alabama and Mississippi is a collaborative effort of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coastal Services Center, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) National Wetlands Research Center and the USGS Mississippi Water Science Center.
	NOLA Environmental is a public web application set up to share efforts being made by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and other federal and state agencies in south Louisiana regarding the environmental compliance for proposed federal and state Hurricane Risk Reduction Projects.
