If you are looking to become a new US Merchant Mariner or just renewing your credentials then you are at the right place. Please select the appropriate link to help you with obtain a credential.
Under the new provisions of the
Merchant Mariner Credential regulations, which became
effective on
April 15, 2009, Mariners will be able to submit
credential applications by mail or email to one of the
17 Regional Examination Centers (REC)
located throughout the nation. This will save you time and
money.
If you are looking to sail on the high seas, American rivers, or great lakes you are at the right

Payment
We highly recommended that you use Pay.Gov - Credit Card Payment Form in order to pay for your credential. It is fast, safe, and reliable method of payment. See Title 46 CFR 10.219.
