Senior Chief Petty Officer Jeffery C. Brotherton is the senior enlisted advisor of the Fort Lee Military Entrance Processing Station.

Senior Chief Brotherton enlisted in the U.S. Navy in June 1996. He completed Boot Camp and Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical) “A” School at Naval Station Great Lakes, Ill. His first duty assignment was aboard the destroyer USS O’Bannon from June 1997 to June 1999, where he deployed as part of the Middle Eastern Forces in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility. His follow-on tours included Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity, Mayport, Fla., from July 1999 to February 2000; aboard the guided missile frigate USS McInerney, from February 2000 to December 2002, where he served as the Main Propulsion Division leading petty officer; the Center for Naval Engineering, Naval Station Great Lakes, from January 2003 to May 2006, where he served as an instructor and curriculum developer for the Engineering Systems Schools. Prior to his current assignment, he served aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island, from June 2006 to November 2012, as part of the commissioning crew, while serving as the Main Propulsion Division and Engineering Department leading chief petty officer, and completed the ship’s maiden deployment to the Middle East.

Senior Chief Brotherton’s military awards and decorations include three Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and various unit and service medals and ribbons. He also earned the Surface Warfare Specialist and Aviation Warfare Specialist designations and Master Training Specialist Certification.
