Sense About Science - An independent charitable trust promoting good science and evidence in public debates, using an evidence-based approach to scientific issues. Response is to the misrepresentation of science and scientific evidence on societal issues, from scares about plastic bottles, fluoride and the MMR vaccine to controversies about genetic modification, stem cell research and radiation. Bitesize Bio - A free online resource for young researchers in the biosciences with short articles, web seminars and community discussion on technical and vocational topics essential to the development of researcher's career. Content is authored by experienced research professionals from all over the globe. Bitesize Bio also encourages scientists who would like experience in writing, the use of social media and new media technologies to get involved in the production side of the site.

GeneEd from NLM & NHGRI - A new resource from NLM's K-12 collection, GeneEd was developed in collaboration with the National Human Genome Institute as well as teachers and experts in genetics and genetic counseling. GeneEd allows students and teachers in grades 9-12 to learn genetics, exploring topics such as Cell Biology, DNA, Genes, Chromosomes, Hereditiy/Inheritance Patterns, Epigenetics, and more.

TEDTalks - TED, a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading, started in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Over 900 talks and performances from TED and partners are now freely available. All talks are subtitled in English, and many subtitled in various languages. Videos are released under a Creative Commons BY-NC-ND license, so they can be freely shared and reposted.
