Primary Responsibilities/Activities:

• Aerial Photointerpretation for:
  • Long Term Resources Monitoring Program (LTRMP) of the Mississippi River
  • USGS-National Park Service Vegetation Mapping Program (VMP)
  • Vegetation mapping for various National Wildlife Refuges and other partners
    
    
• Quality assurance/ Quality Control for the LTRMP, National Parks VMP and other vegetation mapping products.
  
  
• Botanical support to vegetation mapping team, other UMESC scientists and other DOI partners (FWS’s Reed Canary Grass Adaptive Management Study)

Research Interests:

• Invasive plant species and their compatibility with vegetation mapping
• Riverine plants

Active Projects:

• Saint Croix National Riverway (SACN) vegetation mapping
• Buffalo National River (BUFF) vegetation mapping
