Chargé d 'Affaires visits Abu Haraz in Jazeera State
Ambassador Joseph Stafford visited on Sunday February 10, 2013 Abu Haraz in Jazeera State. Stafford was invited by Sheikh Al-Araki. Jazeera State Deputy Governor and other senior state officials welcomed the Chargé on arrival. During his visit, Ambassador Stafford donated book collections to two schools in the area.

U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance may call the Embassy at any time at 249-187-022000 (from outside Sudan), or 0187-022000 (inside Sudan), and ask to speak to the Embassy duty officer. U.S. citizens who require emergency assistance and come to the Embassy during business hours will be assisted by the consular staff without an appointment.
