Green Racing uses motor sport competitions as a platform to help rapidly introduce technologies to consumers that improve fuel economy and reduce greenhouse gases while increasing performance. Clean. Fast. Efficient. That is the goal of green racing: to bring advanced technologies and fuels from the raceway to your driveway.

Argonne Projects

Argonne has been instrumental in developing formulas and technical support for American Le Mans (ALMS) Green Racing events, in collaboration with the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency.

In addition, the Lab is developing educational tools, such as the Green Racing Simulator, to inform the public on how small changes in efficiency, fuel choices and advanced technologies improve vehicle performance on the racetrack and on public roadways.
