Office Location: We are located at the U.S. Embassy building on Al Umawyeen Street in Abdoun, Amman.

Hours of Operation: The office is open Sun thru Thurs from 08:00 to 16:30.  The office is closed on Jordanian and American holidays.

Visiting the office in person

Appointments: To avoid delays, appointments should be requested via e-mail:uscis.amman@dhs.gov. A response will be given within two working days.

Walk-ins: Walk-ins are not advised until further notice.

Paying Fees: Fees for applications and petitions are listed in the Forms section of the USCIS website. Fees may be paid using cash either US dollars or the equivalent in Jordanian Dinar (JD) (local currency) or by Visa/Master card. Personal checks are not accepted.

The USCIS Field Office in Amman has never designated, recommended, or certified any law office, immigration representative, or translator/ interpreter to provide services in connection with any immigration procedure in Jordan or elsewhere.  USCIS does not require notarized translation; we only require that the translator certify in writing his or her competence to translate documents from Arabic to English or vice versa.  USCIS does not require that an individual applying for immigration benefits be represented by a lawyer or anyone else.  If, however, an individual wishes an attorney to represent him or her, the attorney must provide this office with a fully completed form G-28 (Notice of Entry of Appearance).  If an individual wishes someone else (not a lawyer) to obtain information about a case on his or her behalf, the individual must submit a signed statement permitting another person to receive information.
