  • Children in Disneyland
    Your Love is my Life’s Dream

    The Juarez Rotary Club, in conjunction with the Association of Parents of Kids with Cancer and Leukemia (Apanical), sponsors a program to provide medical treatment and emotional support to children with cancer and leukemia. In December 2012, the Juarez Rotary Club offered 14 children in cancer treatment and recovery a trip to Disneyland in Anaheim, California as part of their program “Your Love is my Life’s Dream.” The U.S. Consulate General in Juarez helped by expediting the visas. On January 9, 2013, the Rotary Club and Apanical recognized the Consulate in a public ceremony for its valuable collaboration in making possible this dream.

    Ciudad Juarez, December 14, 2012.- 209 Juarez youths graduated the International Youth Foundation’s Youth:Work Mexico program on the morning of December 14th. Consul General Brownlee took the opportunity to congratulate the students on their achievements.

    Juarez, Nov. 29, 2012—As part of the U.S. Mission in Mexico’s continuous efforts to strengthen communities, the U.S. Northern Command (Northcom) through its Humanitarian Assistance Program donated 20 wheelchairs and 25 canes for the visually impaired to the Donating Love without Borders campaign in Juarez.

    Chihuahua City, November 13, 2012 – On Saturday, November 10, 2012, Vice-consul Hector Brown joined young student leaders participating in the Jovenes en Accion program to give a talk on bullying prevention aimed at parents. The Jovenes en Accion team from Chihuahua, called Alto al Bullying to reflect their objectives, has been implementing this project for the past 3 months at the Bachilleres Plantel 4 in Chihuahua city.
