Active Guard Reserve Branch
Administer programs for recruitment, appointment, utilization, military classification/career and promotional opportunities. Assures career opportunities for qualified AGR personnel and provides guidance in planning career development activities. Monitors compliance of MOS/AFSC qualification requirements and provides advice or assistance on identifying training needs in accordance with Personnel Development Plans.
Employee Services and Benefits
Administers the health, life, retirement, thrift savings plan (TSP) and workers compensation for federal employees. Responsible for providing timely Personnel Action processing, and assuring timely flow of personnel and payroll actions that affect the workforce. Provides customer service to all full-time employees with accurate and up-to-date information. Provides advice, guidance and interpretation to managers and employees on federal laws which cover such issues as federal leave entitlements, restoration rights and benefit.
Development and Training
Advise and assist managers/supervisors in the following areas: Training and employee development; Individual Development Plans (IDPs); Obtaining funding for Training & Development (T&D); Coordinating and instructing the Technician Personnel Management Course; Incentive Awards Program; Managing the Suggestion/Army Idea for Excellence Program
