Denise Alveranga, MD, FASN, FACP Denise Alveranga, MD, FASN, FACP

Nephrologist: Tampa, FL

Dr. Denise Alveranga has been a member of LifeLink Foundation’s transplant nephrology team since 1988. A tireless advocate for organ donation, she was chairman of the United Network for Organ Sharing’s Minority Affairs Committee and served on the organization’s Board of Directors. She also participated on former HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson’s Advisory Committee on Organ Transplantation and has served on the American Society of Transplantation Minority Affairs Committee and the UNOS Kidney Pancreas and Kidney committees.

With extensive experience in nephrology, hypertension and immunology, Dr. Alveranga is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of South Florida and a member of Tampa General Hospital’s cardiac transplantation committee.
