All students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities whether they be athletic, academic or social in nature. These activities help to shape students and prepare them for success after high school as part of a well-rounded education. Our School offers many activities for students to choose from.

Student Government
Our Student Government consists of four officers for each class.  A president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer make up the class officer positions.  We meet twice a month at lunch to discuss school concerns, plan spirit weeks and pep rallies, and host fundraisers.  We speak at faculty meetings and relay morning announcements. 

Harvard Model Congress
Objective: To participate in a governmental/diplomatic simulation that involves research, public speaking, and writing. Harvard Model Congress is a government simulation with a goal of providing delegates experience in public speaking, debate, writing, and negotiation. This is the twelfth year for Harvard Model Congress - Asia. Harvard Model Congress meets on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school.

Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS)
Students develop and carry out scientific investigations and present them at JSHS Regionals. Open to all 9-12th grade students interested in performing experiments and presenting their research. Experiments span across the following subject areas: Mathematics, Science, Engineering, and Technology. Meetings are once a week from Aug-Feb, individually with mentor teacher. Presentations are in March.

ESL Tutoring
ESL tutoring is for ESL students. Students have the opportunity to get extra help on any schoolwork. Open to ESL students only. The classroom is open to students Monday through Thursday, from 2:30 until 4, and Friday until 3:30.

Math Counts
Math Counts is a club for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.  We practice problem solving skills through a multitude of math problems.  This club meets every Monday for an hour from November through March.
Drama Club
Drama Far East—12 students audition and are chosen to represent the school at Far East Drama.  They rehearse and perform a one-act play at the festival as well as partake in theatre workshops. 
Spring Play—the play is open to all students 7-12 who rehearse and perform a children’s theatre play that people from the whole base attend.
STUDENT2STUDENT
The S2S program is designed to support students who are transitioning to or from our school. S2S helps transitioning students by rapidly meeting their critical needs, quickly bringing transitioning students necessary and relevant information from a credible, relatable source: another student, and immediately establishes a peer relationship thereby helping students to gain greater confidence, enhance their comfort level and increase their well being while they adjust to their new experiences.
The Samurai Store
To promote the general welfare and morale of the school by providing school related athletic apparel, spirit wear, and other related items for sale to the students, parents, teachers and community members.
Middle School Girls Soccer
Middle School Girls Soccer involves Middle School girls about the MCPHS Girls Soccer team. Girls participate in team drills and practices, and help out during home games. Meeting times are Tues-Thursday from 330-500pm at Penny Lake during Spring Sports Season.
