Provocative Questions Exploratory Meeting
October 9, 2010
The Cloisters
Bethesda, Maryland
The participants of the first Provocative Questions meeting supported the idea that the format of small workshops are a useful means to engage in conversations about questions that might stimulate innovative research on various aspects of cancer. They recommended that these discussions of novel questions about cancer research should be enlarged by hosting additional workshops that include inviting participants from many fields of cancer research, particularly those that were not well represented at the initial workshop. In addition, representatives from the NCI Director’s Consumer Liaison Group comprised of advocacy leaders are included in all upcoming meetings to provide their perspective from the patient point of view of critical questions that need to be answered. The following meetings have been scheduled to take place on the NIH campus.
