The Information Resource Center provides electronic library services to the general public. These services include reference, electronic books, videos, databases and also special services for schools.

Reference:

The Information Resource Center (IRC) provides specialized, substantive, and accurate reference and research information about the United States, its people and its policies. Using both electronic and traditional print material, professionally trained librarians respond to reference inquiries on American politics and government, economics and trade, foreign affairs and defense, education and the culture, as well as global issues such as drugs, human rights and the environment.

Please note that all questions regarding visa matters will only be handled by the Visa Information Unit.

The Information Resource Center issues an irregular "Electronic Bulletin" on different subjects related to the United States. We welcome your subscription.

USA for Kids: a specially designed information gateway to American society, history, and culture for kids and teachers.

Free online college courses for students with good English skills:

Coursera, MIT OpenCourseWare, and Open Yale Courses

Please note that students taking these courses, do not receive college credit however depending on the course, they may get a certificate of completion.

Free databases support to the students:

  • eLibraryUSA gives members of Information Resource Center access to information that Americans find at their public libraries. We have a broad range of databases about learning English, American history and culture, health, business, and more.
