    This year's Turkey/Young America exchange program has been organized by Bahcesehir University's American Studies Center in partnership with the Junior Chamber International (JCT) Istanbul branch and University of Connecticut. Funded by the US State Department Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, this dynamic exchange program brought together motivated young professionals (ages 20-35) in Turkey and the U.S. who have a commitment to grassroots organizations and an interest in intercultural relationships.

    Boston Celtics in Istanbul - NBA Europe Live 2012

    As a part of their NBA Europe Live 2012 tour, the Celtics faced one of the favorites the Turkish League as a preseason opener at the Ulker Sports Arena in Istanbul on Friday, Oct 5, 2012. Ricciardone attended the game along with Consul General Scott F. Kilner, Deputy Chairman of Ülker Board of Directors Ali Ülker, and NBA Turkey representatives. He also met with a small group of Turkish children and their coach from Pertevniyal Sports Club Basketball School.

    U.S. Consulate General Hosts Iftar for Neighbours in Istinye

    The Consulate General in Istanbul and Sarıyer Municipality hosted a fast-breaking dinner for İstinye residents the night of Aug. 15. Approximately 500 people from Kaplıcalar and Poligon neighborhoods near the consulate attended the event, which took place in the consulate’s parking lot in İstinye while consulate employees joined the locals for dinner.

    Following her 10-day trip to Africa, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary R. Clinton arrived in Istanbul to consult with senior Turkish officials today. While in Istanbul, the Secretary met with President Gul, Prime Minister Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Davutoğlu and other senior Turkish officials to discuss bilateral and multilateral foreign policy issues.

    U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Francis Ricciardone together with The U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Philip H. Gordon and U.S. Consul General Scott Kilner helped municipality caterers to serve iftar meals in Üsküdar Iskele Meydanı, Istanbul with the Mayor of Üsküdar Mustafa Kara. Ambassador Ricciardone also gave remarks before the iftar dinner, and then took a tour of the Bağlarbaşı Cultural Center and watched the children's show.

    We are meeting for sports at a point where history, arts and cultures converge. Asia and Europe are merging Bosphorus through a race. On the morning of 15th of July, thousands of swimmers began the race from one of the famous stops of the Bosphorus in Kanlıca and started swimming towards Kuruçeşme in Europe throughout the race-course of 6.5km’s.

Scott Land will also perform on Tuesday evening, May 15 at 19:00 in Raif Dinçkök Cultural Center, Yalova and on Saturday May 20 at 18:00 at Çanakkale's, Çağlar Kaynak Basketball Square.

    The Harlem Globetrotters Performed at Ülker Sports Arena in Istanbul

    The Harlem Globetrotters, founded in 1926 in Chicago, are a mythic part of the childhood – and adulthood – of Americans. They performed at the Ülker Sports Arena in Istanbul on May 5, 2012.
