Career Training

In addition to academic training, Gulfport Job Corps provides career technical training in several vocational trades. Partnerships with local employers give our students real-world experience in the career technical areas they choose.

Job Corps is committed to the development of green job training. All students who enter in Advanced Manufacturing, Automotive, or Construction career technical training areas will train in a variety of green subject areas. These career areas are marked below with a green tree icon Green trade.

Career Success Standards

One of the key things students learn at Gulfport Job Corps is the Career Success Standards. These standards are set in place to help students not only identify important job related skills, but also to help them improve their potential employability. Throughout their time at Gulfport Job Corps, students learn each of the standards to help themselves prepare for a challenging future and achieve their goals.
