Science and Technology: Water
From protecting and maintaining drinking water sources and public water systems, to protecting the ecological and biological integrity of the nation's wetlands and water ways, sustaining the nation's water resources is vital to maintaining human health our environment and our economy. EPA researchers are working to provide the scientific information and innovative technologies in support of the Clean Water Act and Safe Drinking Water Act. Research and technical assistance is focused on several major areas that include drinking water and water quality, wastewater, water resources, and water security.
