Visa Services

Citizens and residents of the Republic of Mauritius, the Republic of Seychelles, and Reunion (Department of France) who wish to apply for a non-immigrant visa should follow the application procedures. The Embassy can only accept electronic visa application forms and applicants many no longer fill out paper visa application forms by hand.  For a link to cybercafes, please click here. The Department of Homeland Security has special entry regulations for students and exchange visitors.

To better serve the needs of non-immigrant visa applicants, we have instituted an online visa appointment service.  Appointments are mandatory for all visa applicants.  Once you have completed your on-line application form, you will be directed to the appointment system.  At the time of your appointment, you will submit your non-immigrant visa application confirmation page, passport, photo, visa application fee receipt, and any other required documentation, then be interviewed.  Generally, successful applicants will receive their passports by courier within the next 72 hours.

The Embassy strongly encourages intending travelers to apply for visas well in advance of their proposed journey, and to always refrain from making irrevocable travel plans until the visa has been issued and they are in receipt of their passport and visa.  Generally, applicants may wish to schedule their visa appointments at least one month in advance of their proposed travel to the United States.

To plan effectively your visit to the Embassy, please see our Visa appointment wait times and processing times. However the times displayed are only averages and may vary based on individual circumstances of each case.
