Vincent M. Herrington

Sergeant Major Vincent M. Herrington was born in Natchez, Mississippi, he graduated from Jefferson County High School and entered the US Army Reserve in August 1987. He completed Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training to become a Motor Transportation Operator (88M) at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. In October 1989, he entered the Regular Army and attended Advance Individual Training for Medical Logistics Specialist (68J) at Ft. Sam Houston, Texas.

His assignments include: 86th Transportation Company (Natchez, MS), Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (Washington, DC), 43rd Mobile Army Surgical Hospital (CP Humphrey, Korea), Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center (FT Meade, MD), HHC 2nd Infantry Division Support Command (CP Casey, Korea), Baltimore Recruiting Battalion (Hyattsville, MD), 6th Medical Logistics Management Center (FT Detrick, MD), B Company, 16th Medical Logistics Battalion (Yongsan, Korea), United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Fort Bliss, TX), Chief S-3, Brooke Army Medical Center Troop Command (FT Sam Houston, TX).

He has held leadership positions as a Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, NCOIC of a Logistics Division, Detachment Sergeant, First Sergeant, and Sergeant Major.

His military and civilian education includes: Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic NCO Course, US Army Recruiting Course, Advanced NCO Course, Medical Logistics Internship Program (Class 73), US Army First Sergeant Course, USASMA (Class 59), and he has a B.S. , Information System Management (University of Maryland), M.A , Management and Leadership (Webster University).
