New ETC Topic: Processing Level Search

LPDAAC High Priority NCR: 11010811 ECHO:REVERB:Get rid of the Processing Levels section on the main page

  3/21/2011 Lemig, Kelly
Get rid of the Processing Levels section on the main page.
Does anyone ever use those to narrow their search?
The levels are stated differently in the metadata for different
products and makes it confusing, and likely that a user would
not receive the expected results, or exclude datasets inadvertently.
  Like 2 versus level 2

As we discussed during the meeting, I spent some time looking at the usage levels of the processing levels search filters. From looking at our logs, I have discovered that this parameter has already been used in Reverb queries over 4000 times since June 1 of 2012.
To me, this means that we probably don't want to remove this from our search options at this time. It might be more helpful to investigate and consolidate the values in use by various dat partners and agree upon a list that can be used by all (i.e. everyone could use "2" rather than "Level 2" or vice versa)

New ETC Topic: Consolidation of User Accounts in PT and TB Environment

  • Proposed change will simplify testing of new URS updates and consolidate URS test environments.
  • Please recall that email addresses need to be unique across all accounts. Notifications will be sent.
  • Tentative plan to rollout 8/1

Upcoming Events

  • Operations 10.48.3 Release - 6/27/2012 (contingent upon successful workload test)
  • No PM 7/4
