Ed Seiler asked about granule deleteTime race condition. I researched this a little with the development team:

  • The deletion of granules is run every 24 hours starting 12 hours after server start. If we start ECHO up at noon on a Wednesday, at midnight the deletion will run and will continue to run at midnight every successive night.

  • If a granule is deleted by a data provider before it's scheduled delete time, there will be no ill-effects.

Reminder: Request for User Services Folks: User Profiles

We are requesting that any user services folks provide us with any user profile information that they might have that would help us better understand our user base. NSIDC has provided some helpful information, we just wanted to see if any other user services groups have undertaken similar efforts that we can review and possibly leverage.

Open Floor

  • Frank Schaffer asked that NCR 11013256 related to hdf2jpeg be scheduled ASAP and backported to Operations ASAP. I will request this during the upcoming sprint planning meeting for 10.54

  • Lisa Booker requested that we consider a maintenance freeze on ECHO and Reverb during AGU (12/3-7). This shouldn't be an issue and I will bring it up at the next ECHO internal leads meeting.
