General Information
The American Citizen Services Section (ACS) assists people with passport renewal, registration of Americans residing in Austria, birth reports for children of American citizens, income tax forms, voter registration, notarial services and emergency service for Americans.
Appointments
Beginning Thursday, September 1st, 2011 all customers are required to schedule an appointment for the following services:
First-time and renewal passport applications*
Minor (children under 16) passport applications
Additional visa pages*
Consular Report of Birth Abroad
Public notary services
*If your last passport was issued after you reached the age of 16, you may apply for a replacement by mail. Requests for additional visa pages may also be processed by mail.

You may reach the ACS unit during normal business hours, Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, at (+43 1) 313 39 7535 or via email at ConsulateVienna@State.gov. For after-hours emergencies involving American citizens, please call the duty officer at (+43 1) 313 39.
