Jeffry W. Duffy

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1968, Jeffry Duffy graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990 with a degree in English literature. He obtained a law degree from Harvard Law School in 1995 and a diploma in economics from the London School of Economics in 1996. Mr. Duffy Practiced business law in Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. from 1997 to 2005.

He joined the U.S. Foreign Service in 2005 and served in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and in Singapore before coming to Japan. He began studying Japanese in 2010.

Mr. Duffy's interests include classic films (especially from the United States, Japan, and France), pre-1950s jazz, classical music, American and British literature, as well as American constitutional history and constitutional law.
