Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)
The Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) is a free service provided by the U.S. Government to U.S. citizens who are traveling to, or living in, a foreign country.
STEP allows you to enter information about your upcoming trip abroad so that the Department of State can better assist you in an emergency.
STEP also allows Americans residing abroad to get routine information from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
Click here for detailed information on enrolling in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).
You may also sign up in person at the US Embassy any Monday through Thursday (12:30pm - 2:30pm) and on Fridays (7:30am - 10:30am), except on US or Guyanese holidays.
Don't Carry Drugs
-
Every year, several hundred foreigners are arrested abroad on drug charges. Persons caught with illegal drugs in a foreign country are subject to the drug laws of that country; as always, ignorance of the law is no excuse. Do not become a Drug Mule!
A Message From: Embassy of the United States of America, British High Commission and High Commission of Canada.
