The Grand Forks Air Force Base Multimedia Services Center provides professional photography, video documentation and audio visual equipment loan services to authorized base and host tenants.

Customers interested in multimedia services are required to submit an AF Form 833 at least 48 hours prior to any event.

tabPhotography 
The base photo lab provides a wide range of photographic services, including processing and printing, studio, on-location and documentation, digital imaging. The photo lab has photos of base historical events, buildings, aircrafts, etc. for use in briefings. These photo files can be accessed

Turnaround times vary with production requirements but most products are produced within two working days. One day service can be provided under special circumstances. Some examples of location photography are retirements, ALS Graduations, Wing Promotions, base wide events for publicity, material deficiency reports, and unit history reports. Photographic support of social events is limited to photography of legitimate award presentations. Photos for souvenirs and scrapbooks are not normally considered official use. Customers interested in photography of such events should submit an AF Form 833 at least 48 hours prior to the event. Release of photos must be approved by the base public affairs office.

Studio portraits
Full lengths and passports are taken on Mondays and Wednesday from 1330 - 1600 and Tuesday and Thursday from 0800-1130. Appointments are necessary. Appointments are taken at 747-5894, 5062, or 5010. Strict adherence to standards of dress and appearance is essential in achieving an excellent photograph. It's the customer's responsibility to ensure uniforms and clothing is correctly prepared. Please be sure awards and decorations ornaments are current and correct.

Turnaround times for studio portraits are usually at the time of appointment but depend on customer production requirements. Reproduction of copyrighted materials cannot be accomplished without written permission of the copyright holder, unless it falls within the fair use criteria defined in AFI 51-303, Inventions, Patents, Copyrights and Trademarks

Passport photos
Are authorized for official government travel. Wear, or bring, civilian clothing. Men must wear shirts with collars for passports

Video
Documentation of important historical events and events deemed newsworthy by Public Affairs as well as training and developmental videos are produced by the video production section. Routine events such as award/retirement ceremonies and social events are not normally offered video support. The use of video systems and personnel to document retirement or promotion ceremonies honoring Wing, Vice-Wing, NAF Commanders and important historical figures such as Medal of Honor winners, Aerial Aces, etc for historical and informational purposes is appropriate. Video recording of other retirement or promotion ceremonies is limited to customer self-help. Video self-help cameras are available for use in supporting these type events. Video tapes are not provided.

The audiovisual equipment loan section stocks projection equipment in support of presentation requirements. Video projectors are available for short-term loan; Please call for availability and reserve your equipment at least 3 days in advance.

Multimedia services are limited by the availability of authorized resources and controlled by AFI 33-117, Multimedia Management. All services must be authorized for official work only. All requests must be initially reviewed by the Base Multimedia Manager for approval. The Commander, 319 ABW/CC, is the final authority in determining if requested work is official or necessary.

The Public Affairs Multimedia Center is a full service visual imaging center committed to making our customers the number one priority. The multimedia center has emphasized its focus on supplying a one-stop shop for all visual needs.
