Climate

CRTC is considered a semi desert in a subarctic region. The summers can reach 92 °F (33.3 °C), while in the winter, the temperature can fall to -64 °F (-53.3 °C).

CRTC's annual precipitation is 13 inches, which includes 46 inches of snow during the winter. Typically, the precipitation CRTC gets early in the winter, stays through the entire winter.

CRTC can be very windy at times, with strong east and south (Foehn) winds. The nearby city of Delta Junction is sometimes referred to as the "Windy City" or "Little Chicago".

Environment

CRTC operates on more than 670,000 acres of forest, plains, muskeg, mountains, tundra, glaciers, rivers, lakes, and swamps to provide the exact test environment our customers require.

In the winter there is on average 6 hours of sunlight.

The summer provide almost 24 hours of Sunlight.
