The 440th Airlift Wing Headquarters is located in building 306 at Pope Field, N.C. Commanded by Brig. Gen. Norman Ham, the headquarters provides administration, training, and supervision to the wing' s three subordinate groups which provide functional support in the areas of maintenance, operations, and mission support. The 95th Airlift Squadron, which operates the C-130H Hercules aircraft, is the wing' s flying squadron.
