Medical Review Board
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Norman Y. Mineta announced the first Federal Motor
Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Medical Review Board (MRB) in March 2006.
Five medical experts will serve on the board for 2-year terms. FMCSA is planning
reviews of the physical qualification regulations for commercial motor vehicle drivers,
and the board will provide the necessary science-based guidance to establish realistic
and responsible medical standards. More information about the Medical Review Board

Medical Conference Reports
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has published medical conference
reports to assist medical examiners in determining whether a driver is qualified
under the Standards of Section 391.41(b). The conference reports may be accessed
