Aquatic Rehabilitation

R2D Home

In 2009-2010, the U.S. Army Rehabilitation and Reintegration Division (R2D) piloted Aquatic Rehabilitation and Warrior Exercise Programs at Fort Lewis, WA, Fort Eustis and Fort Belvoir, VA for Soldiers undergoing rehabilitation, who have completed rehabilitation, or are transitioning to full unit training/adjunct to land based training.

These aquatic rehabilitation videos introduce a standardized aquatic therapy and exercise program developed to assist Soldiers in their rehabilitation and to provide a “bridge” to unit physical training.

Note: Exercise supervision is to be provided by unit leaders and therapists through a classroom and hands-on "Train the Trainer" process. Do not attempt these exercises without the supervision of a trained personnel.
