Department of Defense (DoD) Shuttle Bus Program

Schedules may vary depending on weather, traffic, and emergency conditions. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled departure.
- DoD shuttle buses are used for official business. Buses will not be used for travel to, from, or between locations for the purpose of conducting any personal business.
- No eating, drinking, or smoking is allowed on the buses.
- Use of cameras and video cameras, including cell phones, is prohibited on the Pentagon Reservation.
- Pentagon DoD bus stops are located at the Pentagon Transit Center (PTC - Metrobus Platform) bus bays L7-L11.
- The Pentagon Circulator is located at the Pentagon Transit Center (PTC - Metrobus Platform) bus bay U8.
- During heightened security, riders may be subjected to searches.
ACCEPTABLE BADGES
- Common Access Cards (CAC)
- Active Duty Armed Forces Identification Card
- Valid DoD Civilian Identification Cards
- DoD Building Pass
- Pentagon Circulator does not require a badge
- Route 12 will ONLY accept the Intelligence Community (IC) badge
HOLIDAY OBSERVANCES (NO SERIVCE)
Shuttle service will operate every weekday except the following federal holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Birth of Martin Luther King Jr
- Washington’s Birthday
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veteran’s Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas Day
TRANSPORTATION FOR PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED EMPLOYEES
For official business only, you may contact the service provider of the respective route of your destination to arrange physically challenged accessible transportation options. All requests for this service should be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Please see the shuttle bus schedule for contact information.
