MEDICAL CARE IN EUROPE

FORMS

Screening for Overseas Assignments

Map representing travel from Ft. Bragg to Heidelberg, Germany; Soldier completing paperwork; family standing near Great Wall of China

Soldiers who want authorization for accompanied travel to overseas assignments must have their Family members screened for special needs.

Why? The Army wants to ensure Soldiers are assigned to locations where Family members who have special needs can receive necessary care. In many locations overseas, the Army also considers the availability of health care from the host nation.

Did you know? All Families must be screened for accompanied overseas travel, but only 12% are identified as having a special need, resulting in special assignment coordination.
